Thanks Paul. You are right that you cannot plan this, but the Sangre de Cristo mountains are ones that will provide spectacular scenery almost every day. Luckily I was driving out of Westcliffe, CO and came upon this scene. There obviously was not a lot of time to spare to pull over and set up my camera. It only lasted for a minute or so. Had I more time I probably would have noticed that I did not capture both sun beams completely. I am still happy with the shot though.
