Love the askew feel of this image, Nikki, and the view of two worlds at once. The difference in tone from blue to warmer enhances that feel, as do the arcs of the enclosure. My, I wish we had a zoo close by as marvelous as the Henry Doorly.

The lines, tones, color contrast, subject and mood are all fantastic -- along with the distinct and captivating POV. Love it!

I like the perspective of the people, Nikki. And is a shark an "animal?" Gotta love BP themes. It should do well, though. I like it!

Well . . . yes, I would say that any living being is an animal and that includes birds and reptiles and fish and not just mammals. In this sense people are animals, too. But I was not at all happy with putting this in the Animal category. As you can see from my description, this is one I would have put in Catch-All as neither the shark nor the people are strong enough for the People or Animal categories. But it certainly is not a close-up so the new Details and Close-ups category does not work. And I think it's too busy for EoD. And though the aquarium and shark tunnel were constructed by humans, Man Made scarcely seems right. So I punted LOL

Thanks to everyone for the very nice comments on this image which may well have to wait for an appropriate theme to be taken seriously.

Nikki, you make such a strong case for the now defunct catch all category!! Another case of BP's short sighted decision making!

Love the perspective here, with the people are abutting the fish area!! Very well done!!

It's a brilliant image and wonderful to view. I'm scratching my head about the new categories.

I just wish I had some new images to post--still up to my eyeballs in alligators, so to speak.
