No idea except maybe for attaching something to them. I like this one best of all this series so far.

It's my favorite in the series too! Perhaps to hitch one's caught fish to? Bicycles?

My bet's on anchors for crab pots or something like that - but whatever they are, you got a terrific photo!

I don't know either but see something like this in Guntersville, Al
I really like it and the way it "winds" on down the way Frank, and the one with the bird makes this kool!

The best of your series so far Frank. Must be used to attach something nautical but have no idea. Let us know if you find out. Keep these coming gives me memories of my beach, river, ocean and Estuary days.

No idea what these are for either, Frank, but this is the best of your series! I love the leading lines of stones and your comp!

You've given us all a great mystery with these odd and intriguing objects, Frank. This makes me think of Easter Island or Stonehenge, but in reverse. Your pov puts you above these "stones", and your composition creates a wonderful snaking line which invites the viewer to follow their path to the top of the photo.
I agree with so many others about this shot being the best of your estuary series. I hope we see this again next month.
Enjoy your weekend, my friend.
