This is a beautiful and wonderful way to remind all in the grip of winter that it will not last, that the warm and vibrant colors of spring are ahead. Love all the beautiful patterns of the cloth. That basket is gorgeous and I love its look. The composing, the lighting, colors, and details, all stand out dear friend. Have a wonderful day Mary.

We only have cold rain and a little snow.
So does that include me too?? :)

Seriously, I'm also thinking of all our friends who are suffering from the extreme weather. I hope all are okay.

And I certainly can relate to this image, Mary.

I love the idea and I certainly love the whole image.

Very brilliant set-up and all together appealing image, with lots of super colors and details.

I'll remember this for a long time.

Whaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa! It's so easy to feel sorry for myself. SUMMER WHY DID YOU HAVE TO GO...

And then I stop and I think about Eastern Canada or Eastern USA... Or worse, The Philippine's all flooded under or Japan's disasters.

So I abandon my pity and join you in honoring all those that are way less fortunate as we are today. Me and Kiki are going to go walk in the rain now and use our umbrella's. :) I will have to fly to Denmark first because we got snow lat night here. Just a good dusting.

(Kiki, are you ready for me?)

Beautiful colors here, Mare, and such a pretty sight!

Thanks for commenting, Pom and April. Glad you like it!
Pom, I was confused about you and Kiki and the rain...I mentioned that on another thread. Shows you just how fried my brain has been this week. Real Life has pounced again... For example, I've just finished packing up all the Christmas decorations tonight! (I've been working on 'em since Sunday night, three to five hours each night...) Whew!
:-)

Hi Mare! :D I was referring to your cute little bug that took shelter from the rain under that peddle. How smart he is.

As for my SSSKiki rain reference...she often gets rain when we are having snow. If you look on a globe, Denmark is way up there near Norway. And yet...it will be snowing in Norway but raining in Denmark...Kind like ME here. Sitting above the USA like I do. It will be snowing here but raining in Washington State. :)

Also, I love walking in the rain. :) And I often picture myself walking in the forest in Denmark. Kiki has forests just like Robin hood's Sherwood Forest. When Fangy passes away we plan to fly to Denmark and Norway. :) I hope all of my scattered thoughts have kind of come together now for you.

If not, this would answer why our Christmas Tree is still up. :) I still turn it on each night and because it is PINK I might just leave it until Valentine's Day! Ha! :))) Maybe I am a bit scattered and it is not you!!! xo
Love you! -Pom

Thank you for the nice comments, Nancy.
And thank YOU, Pommers, for clarifying all the discussion threads' criss-crossing yesterday...
I love WATCHing (and/or listening to) the rain ~ as long as it's from inside our house! Same goes for the upcoming Winter Olympics. I'll enjoy the events - especially the snowboard halfpipe that Shaun White excels in - but I'll watch them while wrapped in a blanket, and drinking hot chocolate in our livingroom.
Finally, about your pink Christmas tree - I say GO FOR IT till Valentine's Day! Who's it hurting while you look at the lights a little longer? ENJOY!
OXO Mare :-D

Thanks for stopping by, Pom and Chris.
More power to you both if you want to keep Christmas going for awhile. This past week was the earliest in years that I've taken down everything just a month after Christmas. Now I'm thinking about early Spring Cleaning!
