When I first saw this woman, I asked in sign language permission to photograph her. She held up her hand as if to say no, but then she proceeded to try improving her appearance. She removed her head covering and combed out her hair and then replaced the covering. She then wiped her face and hands on a clean cloth, like a handkerchief. Then she motioned to me to go ahead. It was very clear that she was once a very elegant lady who lived an elegant lifestyle.

Lou,I have to say that all of your pictures are breathtaking... I always want to comment but am usually speechless when I look at your work. You capture such emotion and it is very obvious the passion you have for this art form. Keep up the great work and thank you for sharing your work!! America
