Thanks everyone. This was a lucky shot because I was trying to see if I could get a shot of the Toronto skyline with the lens I had on the camera at the time, when the little girl happened on the scene.

Now, Dale, we've had this conversation. The story should be:

"I saw this scene and knew that if I waited for just the right moment, a little girl in a yellow dress would happen into the scene at the exact moment a family of ducks would swim by. So, I crouched down on the rocks, ignoring the sharp pains in my decrepit old knees and waited. Thirteen days later, a girl in a red dress came by. So, I waited longer. In no time at all, I had my shot."

And that was just the way it was Jeff, but I was too modest to say so.

thanks so much, Susan.

I really like the feeling of space in this shot Dale. The big sky and diminutive skyline make the shot work to that effect along with the nice foreground and your small model. The colors work nicely to move you around in the shot.

Thanks a lot Mike. I took about five shots of the girl and her Dad, but this was the only one that worked out for me.

Funny Jeff!!! I was just reading about a photographer that sat in a tree for 2 months to get a shot of a monkey! NOT my cuppa tea... Not enough patience.

So Dale-this shot is one of my favorites that you have posted. What's not to like about this??? There is so much in here to look at, and the colors are gorgeous. I also like the diagonal line of the rocks and the cute little girl.

Very nice picture!

Very nice shot,Dale. I can't see any haze over Toronto, did you take it out? The clouds in the sky look great, whatever you did to them.

Thank you Lisa. Actually it was a very clear day so the haze was minimal. I did use the Tozaz clarify filter but masked most of it from the sky.

On close inspection I see that I missed some dirt spots that were on the sensor. Need to clean those off.
