Hunting the Hunter
This cattle egret was hunting something in the tall grass at the edge of the bluff, and I was hunting him, trying to get close enough for a shot. The buff feathers on the head and back of the neck indicate that it's mating season. They also conveniently coordinate with the gold colors in the foliage. Taken in Kauai in 2009.
