Beautifully captured, Val. I was in the Bowman's Hill meadow two days ago. TONS and TONS of milkweed, and I did not see a SINGLE milkweed bug in any of its forms. I ALWAYS look for Monarch chrysalises, (is that the plural?) but have never EVER seen one in the wild. Sigh.
