Now, isn't that just wonderful!! I love this, Mary. So beautifully composed and captured with such gorgeous colors. Your title for this beautiful image reminds me of something I read once: Why do roses have thorns? Answer: For protection. I never thought of it that way. But I love the idea. I also love the symbolosm here as much as the image itself.
