Looks like the pipes are floating in air. That's a great shot, Jeff.

Very cool. I like the light and the shadow, but I also like the light cropped out-I tried on my computer screen :). how did you get this shot?

I really really like this. I usually not a fan of fisheye. but this it works well, and I love the black and white.

So how are you doing with your new job...besides using all the equipment....still jealous!

Jeff, this is my favorite in the series at that location. Out standing composition.

Hadn't noticed that this was taken with your Fisheye lens. Could you have gotten the same effect from a lens in the more standard wide-angle range (20-28mm)?

Thanks, everyone! I really liked how this turned out, but wasn't sure of the response I'd get.

Rita - the job is good. A lot to do to get up to speed. I'm officially done with the previous job (been doing both for 3 weeks) in about an hour, so that will be good.

Stephen, that's a good question. I don't think there is much fisheye effect in this image. I shot it at the 15mm end of the range, and the horizon is in the center of the frame, so I think the effect was minimal. My assumption is that I would have gotten a similar effect with the range you mentioned. I'm going to be back out there with Deb and her family next week, I'll have to remember to try it out.

Nicely done, Jeff -- however it was you did it. Really works well in black and white. Glad you are enjoying your dream job. How does your predecessor like his job at Canon?

I love this! And I can't wait to go there! Our trip has been amazing so far, but pretty on the go. I can't wait to just be able to wander and shoot!

You get such good shots of these tubes-new perspectives each time, too.

I do like this a lot too, but can't decide if that white circle/hole at the upper left top is distracting me as I am looking out through the tube. Do you think it adds or detracts?

I was also curious about the fisheye...
