Back in 2009, when I was gainfully employed as a clinical researcher for a small pharmaceutical company, I was invited to go, as an observer, to an ad shoot that was to produce print advertisements in preparation for a new product launch.
----
The product, now on the market, treats very serious gout, which normally manifests itself FIRST in the "great" toe. These shots were never used, to my knowledge, because the product took more than an additional year to gain approval for marketing.
----
The ad agency's photographer, who never uses a tripod, was shooting the actor's foot with a Canon 85mm, F1.2 lens, which is very heavy, and has no image stabilization. She persuaded me to purchase that lens.
-----
There is a funny story about what happened when the actor showed up at the set having had his FINGERS manicured but not his toes. But you REALLY don't want to hear that story!

Wonderful shot....it is a great lens but you don't have to get the 1.2 to get good quality. I don't find the lens to be heavy either.
