This is a nocturnal Wombat, that I found hiding in its den at the National Aquarium and Zoo in Canberra! It is good to see a live animal, most people only see them as road kill!
Taken at 1/60th f16.0 and ISO-200.

Great capture, John. Good to see it alive too. How big are these animals?

We held one when we were in Cairns. We loved the wildlife parks, more relaxed and natural than most zoos. Nice clear image of him, John. Thanks for sharing him.

He's so beautiful, John. I too love to see live animals. I just wish it wasn't in a zoo.

Must admit, I've only ever seen them in zoos, better than road kill though. I'm with Kiki, pity we only see them in zoos, it's such a shame we don't look after the animals more. Thanks for showing us all=^..^=

Thanks Chris, I agree! It is a wonder there are any of them left in Tasmania, they were slautered by the dozens on their country roads!
