String Saving Yankee
String Saving Yankee

For those of you who have never heard this term it was coined because Yankees are known to throw Nothing away

I found these gems on the dash of an old Chevy

This Yankee had some bale wire, a latern wick, a couple jingle bells, some lag screws and some emery cloth....Ready for anything!!

You'd enjoy going through the stuff of a couple Yankees that I KNOW! I can't believe I'm SAYING this, but the colorful bright button looks really great leading the pack of relics.

Your title reminded me of a mildly eccentric past co-worker. Among her other unique collections was a large ball of her gray hairs. Until it became unpractical (her head turned totally gray at some point) she would pluck each gray hair out and add it to her rapidly growing hair ball, so to speak.

I never heard that saying either..I wouldn't have any hair left if I did what Mickey's co worker did.
