The waters of Town Creek runs high as its rolls over High Falls on its way off Sand Mountain toward Lake Guntersville, Alabama. This is a 35 foot vertical drop, with the width of the falls close to 200 feet. The oddity of the area is the arched rock to the right. When I was a teenager and when the water ran slower, we would jump from the top.
