Road to Látrabjarg


	Road to Látrabjarg The crinkled coastline of Iceland's Westfjords means there are no straight lines from point A to point B. But the sights are worth the endless zigzagging. We drove out to the Látrabjarg cliffs (I'm on their slope, in this composition) and the view back over the way we came was remarkable, for the 'layered' look of the fingers of land jutting out, one after the other, enclosing the numerous fjords of the area. The dirt road leads back to our hotel, about 10 miles east. Látrabjarg is the western most tip of Iceland and thus of Europe; Greenland sits about 275 miles west. 4/13 Finalist - T&P Chris Budny
