I was at the Surf on the night of their last concert. (I'm from Mason City)..I even had a signed record from Buddy Holly but somebody stole it before I even left the building. Wonder what it would be worth now. I took my granddaughter there once when we went back for a family reunion..she was impressed to sit in the "very booth" that I sat in on the night. I remember them telling us about the crash in school the next morning. Too sad.
