Oh, you're just like me! I do the same thing - standing over a great subject and then in the glory of the moment, forget to shoot! What an incredible sight - don't use the word "awesome" much - but that's the only word for this remarkable sight! Good shooting!

Would you look at all those balloons! My gosh! Great shot, Patricia. There are more total balloons in that sky then have ever lifted off in all the balloon festivals Las Cruces has ever had put together! LOL! Albuquerque is the bomb when it comes to ballooning. Beautiful capture!

Thank you so much Thomas & Renee.....I will get back there in a few years....so many other places to see in between...but this was "killer".....the most amazing sight....but the fact that you can walk in amongst the balloons and talk with the pilots and crews is a definitely plus....being up close is so sweet! Plan in advance Bobby.....hotels fill up....we even booked our camp ground in July....I hope you get over there to see it.....it is oh so worth the trip!

Thank you so much Nadia....That morning there were about 200 balloons that launched. The previous Sunday there were over 500...I can't imagine...that was a sight....but this was breathtaking too....over the period of the week that the festival is held some of the balloonists leave....so probably the first weekend is the best to attend....
