I'm not sure that this one does much for me, Lisa. I'm having a hard time identifying the main subject. Perhaps if you did an 8x10 crop, removing the tall building on the left. Even then, I'm just not sure.

I am having the same problem as Jeff and have no idea what I should be looking at Lisa. But perhaps you are making a 8x4 print, that's 8 feet by 4 feet and are still busy cutting the matt before framing it.

Lisa perhaps if you said what you were trying to accomplish with this shot we could offer some advice. I agree with Jeff's comments as it stands. Also, it looks like you exposed for the sky but it is to small an area and in the wrong place to be the subject.

I am wondering what the frame is for and what is the set up here?

I love the idea! I think if the main subject was seen through the frame, it might make more sense... while the building on the left balances out the image, I agree it competes for attention.

agre with everyone else on this one. but its to bad you didn't have a tripod or a friend to capture you sitting on the bench and have a picture taken..its a very cool idea.

Hello, thanks for the comments everyone! I thought the sky was so pretty here, and the frame looked so interesting...I will try different angles with it the next time I go :)

Lisa -- I am so glad that you have the chance to go back and work some more with this concept. I am sure there is the perfect picture in this spot somewhere. Very clever and well seen. Dig deep for this one and it will reward you,

Well now that's interesting. I'm anxious to see you're re-shoot of this interesting scene. :) Do you have any idea why there is a giant frame propped up on the dock?

I am guessing that the frame is there so that tourists can have there photo taken with that tall and unusual building as a background. A bit corny but why not.
