Flowers for Family
An elderly woman was able to keep up with those much younger than her during a long procession to commemorate Day of the Dead at Conejo Mountain Cemetery in Camarillo. Dia de los Muertos (Day of the Dead), marked on Nov. 1 (All Souls Day), is a Mexican celebration and remembrance of departed family members and other loved ones. It includes singing, dancing, foods, flowers, and ofrendas (offerings or altars) that display family photos, foods, and other items that were favorites of the departed family member or friend.
