Red Mountain Revealed
|
|
Red Mountain Revealed Morning clouds begin their midday withdraw from the southeast face of Red Mountain,Snoqhalmie Pass, WA. The Mountain's name is due to iron ore levels in the rock which provide a red and rusty color tone. View taken from Pacific Crest Trail, approx 5300 ft elevation, along west slope of Kendall Peak.

The photo does not do it justice. I took a break from my hike to watch the movement in the clouds, the sunlight, the color changes on Red Mountain, etc. It was one of those moments you hope for when hiking in the mountains. Thanks for your note and always appreciate your feedback.

It is difficult to believe that the photo does not do the scene justice, David, because your image is stunning! I am not a hiker anymore, but I hope for moments of spectacular anywhere I might be! *;))

JudyAnn, agree with you on capturing "spectacular" when I can. Thanks for your note and comments on the photo.
