Morning Warm-Up
Basking in the morning sun, a blue dasher dragonfly "recharges" his flight muscles for a busy day ahead - mostly comprised of a couple hundred laps around the pond at Zilker Botanical here in Austin. Dragonflies are voracious carnivores and I've read they can consume their weight in various small insects in about 30 minutes time ... sorta the way I wish my metabolism could handle a tray of freshly baked raspberry-filled donuts.. :) Have a Happy Tuesday! I could go for a raspberry donut right now paired with my freshly made cup of Pacific Rim Extra Bold! Instead I have to settle for my Fage yogurt with peaches. LOL. What an amazing shot, my friend!! You've captured some amazing detail in this outstanding macro!

By the way, my metabolism is sort of the opposite from that of the dragon fly, but I could never turn down a freshly baked "anything", lol...
