Abstract Lightning

Interesting capture of this lightning strike, David. They are not easy to get. I like that you kept the foreground objects (I don't know what they are called) from the slower shutter speed to add color and interest to the abstract. Capturing a strike has been a personal challenge for me for quite some time, and I got my first shot only recently. I became especially intrigued by the subject when my son told me it was a ground to cloud strike (pure luck).

Thanks for straightening me out, David. I assumed the lights are part of the landscape, but I wonder what technique causes them to be relatively uniform in shape.

Great capture, David. the foreground lights are very interesting. I read the discussion with Susan and it's clear what they are to me now.
