Ice Hike
  Ice Hike
Ice Hike
A group of hikers navigating the crevasses of Svínafellsjökull, a glacier tongue in the Skaftafell region of southern Iceland. We were on
a similar hike, having reached our midway point before returning, when I spotted the earlier group descending ahead of us.

AWESOME SHOT people really give it the scale to appreciate its massive size.

Having the tiny people in the image really gives you a perspective to how massive this piece of ice is. Wonderful capture, Chris.

Very cool - love the sense of scale the people give us. Guess all that dirt makes for better traction?

Thanks, folks!
Nikki, I don't know that the dirt helped all that much---but we did have to wear crampons on our boots, which definitely made a huge difference. (We also carried an ice axe, and had wear a harness and hardhat.)
