Standing on a corner...
Winslow, Arizona, the iconic town in Northern Arizona perhaps best known from the Eagles classic song "Take it Easy". "Well, I'm a standing on a corner In Winslow, Arizona And such a fine sight to see It's a girl, my lord In a flatbed Ford Slowin' down to take a look at me." Note the flat bed Ford parked at the curb, and painted in the window. The building facade, statue of "Easy", and adjacent park were build as tourist attractions. Winslow is located on historic Route 66, and is also the site for the recently restored, Mary Coulter designed La Posada Hotel, location for one of the Harvey House restaurants on the Santa Fe railway.
