The Scout
This is a composite of two photos - one is from a statue of Kit Carson situated between the Capitol and the Legislative Buildings in Carson City, Nevada, and the other is a photo taken in the woods nearby with the sun rays shining through. Because the statue has changed to a greenish color over time, after combining the photos, they entire picture was changed to b&W, with breath fog added. The background of the statue was removed and the photo was reversed and the idea was to make Kit Carson and his horse appear trudging through the snow.
