This is a composite of two images I shot. Both were shot in color, but I desaturated my son. He is wearing his daddy's sailor hat and holding his dog-tags. The background of the little sailor was taken out, and then placed on the flag. A spotlight effect was added for more punch.

WOW this brings up some strong memories for me from the time I spent away from my family when I was in the navy ! very nice pic .I thank your husband and his family for protecting and serving our great country.

  Thank you, James :o) I set out to get a cute shot of my son with his daddy's stuff and ended up with a shot of him looking down at the dog-tags like that. I knew it could make a powerful image if it almost made me cry looking at it...LOL Thanks again :o)
