I will steer CLEAR--though she is gorgeous! I once opened the lid of a bird feeder on which a paper wasp nest was attached on the inside. I was stung twice on the back of my hand, and for hours I prayed for my hand to fall off. And this is WORSE!

Michelle, I took this with a 300mm lens, so I was a good distance away. They were very busy feeding on the nectar,and didn't pay attention to me. As I said they are not aggressive as long as they are not disturbed.
