Simple, yet elegant. Nice sunstar on the wing.

I agree. You know I really like shots like this Jeff and you're a master at them. Want to take it up just a notch? Use the healing brush and get rid of those distractive white specks scattered all about. Seems trivial, I know, but makes a real difference when they are gone.

Thanks, Gentlemen! Dale - I agree completely. I'll try to find some time to work on it. I've got a ton of stuff to get caught up on before heading to DC on Monday morning.

I agree with the comments and just add that I also like the deep shadow and lighting that defines the center of the hood with the two tone blue.

I like the simplicity of this one. I agree with Dale on the white specks. I'm scrambling to get caught up before I head to DC as well. I'm posting Vegas pictures on my blog this week. So far behind . . .

Admiring your work as always Jeff. Would have thought you might have spat on a tissue and wiped away the sparrow poop- saves time on PS. :0) Now for a technical question. Did you create the noise deliberately? I have to think it was deliberate and I like the way it gives a similar effect to printing on a matt paper as opposed to a gloss one. You have created a great contrast between shiney chrome and subdued paintwork.

Pete - the noise you are seeing isn't noise, it's the metallic texture of the paint.

Really like this image, Jeff. It almost could be a painting. Then you could call the white spots in the paint an example of Pointillism!! Nice use of space with your shadow. My only question, is why did you decide to have the tip of the wing so close to the edge of the frame.
