Though I did not learn what these old wheels and seat, now collecting farm dust, were used for, I believe they were part of a hay mowing rig, pulled by a two-horse team.

This was found in a storage area of the barn at the Tween Hills Farm in Bedminster, Pennsylvania during the Audubon 2012 Bucks County Barn Tour.

Some real craftmanship went into bending the wooden parts.

Ref: the Buggy don't believe its a work rig because of the thin wheels. Looks very similar to a Racing rig ??

Thats A LOT OF BARN . I need to get out & take some PICS. Thanks for the Great Jelly Fish Search ;o)
Turned out to be very interesting and educational ...

Hmm. Well...the reason I speculated on its use was that I THOUGHT I saw this type of rig used at the Howell Living History Farm for mowing hay. Now I've gone back and looked at THOSE photos, and the wheels were metal--Like THIS one, seen at Turtle Rock Settlement Farm in Erwinna, Pa.
