What wonderful memories - and a terrific job on the photo, too! I've always wondered who does the "graffiti" that seems to be on many freight cars these days. I don't recall seeing that when I was younger, but I think it's really neat.

In Knoxville, there were TOO MANY trains going through town- too loud at night! I do like them from afar, though- and certainly they inspire a lot of good country music!!

Great image that brings back fun filled memories. It's the wonderful time with friends and loved ones that takes us back in time with joy. Very well rendered here with the comp, colors and especially that open Train car that's so inviting for all the hide and seek games played a long time ago.

I love your story that accompanies this wonderful image of the rail car. On the prairies, the rail system was a way of life for the farmers who shipped their grain. We still have trains that run through our city, although some are being moved outside of the city limits. I have come across a few old train stations that have been abandoned. I hope the history can be preserved.
