McWay Falls ~ Big Sur
McWay Falls ~ Big Sur
This was taken during our Vacation in Monterey, CA. McWay Falls is an 80-foot waterfall located in Julia Pfeiffer Burns State Park that flows year-round. Like Alamere Falls, this waterfall is one of only two in the region that are close enough to the ocean to be referred to as "tidefalls". It is located on McWay Creek and is one of the few waterfalls that empty directly into the ocean. ~ Wikipedia

Absolutely gorgeous color and pov in this awesome capture, Rey!!! Wow info, too. Never thought about it, but could see that it was rare for a waterfall to empty into the ocean!!

I think I would have missed the waterfall had you not mentioned it in your description! How beautiful it is, Rey! You must have been up really high to take this picture! I love the colour of the water and the fabulous waves! Absolutely gorgeous, my friend! :)

Nice view of one of my favorite places. Thanks for all your information too. I have been there are high tide, but didn't know the expression "tide falls". Thank you for your beautiful images, Reynaldo!
