Farewell Chow

  Farewell Chow
Farewell Chow
Chow, was my parents dog & she went to live with my sister after they both passed away, she was 17yo. Chow passed away on Friday night, on Saturday night we were had a surprise birthday party for my sister & had to tell family why Chow wasn't there & then quickly change the subject.

Poor Chow. I agree with John. She had a very sweet face. I am glad she got to stay in the family after your folks were gone. It's so sad losing our pets. I'm very sorry to hear this, Chris.

Love, Laura xo

What a sweet capture to remember Chow by, Chris! She got a lot of love for 17 years, first with your parents, then with your sister. And there's no doubt she gave just as much love in return.

When the sadness of losing her finally begins to lift, photos of Chow's happy, friendly face will bring her back to you and your family again and again...

Thanks for your comments on Chow's passing. She was a funny one, she really belonged to Dad, when he was no longer around she moved on to Mum & wouldn't let her out of the house, she'd stand behind Mum & hold on to her clothes so we couldn't take her out. Then she took over my sister & kept a close eye on her for the past 6 years, making sure she wasn't going to leave her. Many thanks to you all.

Thanks so much. Only the day before, there she was getting around the yard with the other dogs, wearing her little coat.

Thanks Patrick & Kiki, Chow had lots of character, when she first came to live with my parents, she run along the back of the lounge & pull Mum's hair, then run back & sit next to Dad like she knew nothing about it.

You have a wonderful portrait to remember her by. It would be nice to have the picture in a photo book. You have great memories as she sounds very playful.

Thank you both. I have lots of funny stories about Chow, like after Dad passed away Chow really liked it when my cousin Glenda & her husband Johnny came to visit. Chow would sleep between them every-time, she never did that to anyone else.

How terrible - 17 years old is a part of the furniture!! You really miss a pet after having them that long, you turn around, and they're not there. I bet there were some tears!! Cute capture of Chow.

So sorry to hear about Chow, Chris! It is always difficult to lose such a friend. Chow was so fortunate to have lots of love around her. 17 years is a great life for a pup, though it seems way too short sometimes.

Thanks Thomas, you should have seen how she played on the floor with my cousin's Grandson who was in a wheelchair. She even crawled along on her belly to be down low like him.

Oh Chris, this is so sad, very sad, to reach the grand old age of 17, far too short, our Bo who we recently lost was 171/2.
