The Musee d' Orsay building in Paris dates from 1900 when it opened as a railway terminal, though the trains serving it were electric powered. Now it houses art from the period 1848 - 1914, making it the place to see the impressionists. The art is great, but the building is spectacular. Sacre Couer, on the hill of Montemartre, can be seen above the VII on the clock's face. Photo taken April 2012
