Someone obviously wanted to be a good citizen and make other drivers aware of imminent danger. There were a few large potholes ahead. The teacher in me can't help wanting to correct the spelling.

I love it! I can see a story here - a farmer who wants to warn his neighbourhood of the ruts in the road ahead. He's probably not the best speller, but he IS very considerate, and most likely a genuine hard worker!
