The eReader has arrived on the beach. This year we have seen less paper books and more digital readers in a variety of brands. No matter what they claim, these eReaders are not that easy to read in the sun.

Wonderful image Heather, a sign of the times I guess. I love to read, but so far I have resisted the ereader.

I have an early version of Kindle, sort of like this one. I love it, but now want the FIRE! But about this photo...It's brilliant, Heather. And YOU were able to photograph the screen perfectly in the sunlight!

I've got the Kindle Fire (plus two older Kindle models), and the Fire screen is readable in bright sunshine. Love it! Also love your photo!

What a wonderful capture Heather! My friend has a Kindle, she was wrapped when we had a blackout, she could still read her book!

That's technology for you. I miss the good old fashioned way with hard copies of everything, photographs, analog phones and such. Great capture here ~ the way of the future.

Great capture Heather, definitely a sign of the times. I have an I Pad and love it. I now receive all my photo magazines on it and with not having the best eye sight I love the way you can increase the size of the print. I also have all of my camera manuals on it.

I wonder how sand and technology mix? Could you really bother? Love how you've captured this, Heather!

Technology at the beach... I still like a paperback where you don't mind if it gets wet or full of sand.

At least the eReaders leave less trash to pick up.
