Im not sure if this is a Coopers Hawk, but I spotted him sitting high up on a tree at the end of LIE (exit 73)sunning himself. He flew off as I attempted to get closer.

All LI hawks take a course where they learn to entice you closer & the fly away. Been driving me crazy along the parkways for years. Crack the car door to get out and there gone.
