Ponte degli Alpini
Ponte degli Alpini
I often visit this famous bridge, Ponte degli Alpini, in Bassano del Grappa, Italy."The symbol of the town is the covered wooden pontoon bridge , which was designed by the architect Andrea Palladio in 1569. The bridge was destroyed many times, the last time during WWII. The Alpine soldiers, or Alpini have always revered the wooden bridge and Bassano del Grappa. After the destruction of the bridge, they took up a private collection and had the bridge completely rebuilt. Often soldiers flock to the bridge to remember and sing songs from their days as alpine soldiers. The grappa shop of Nardini Distillery is located on the bridge, known as Ponte degli Alpini." Wikipedeia.
I first worked the shadows and then the hightlights of the photograph in Photoshop. using maks.

  Lyn,
Thank you. This is one of my favorite towns and visit it often. I hope to collect a series of this and other towns around my area.

I've always liked the stacked effect achieved by lenses in photos like this.

Outstanding detail in this well composed image Mayra. Your color and lighting are great.

I love the tones, lighting, quaintness, and everything about it. It looks like a painting from a gallery.

Thank you so much to all. I have come to like the HDR effect by working on the shadows and hightlights individually, using curves and Levels in photoshop.
