Ann this looks cool and refreshing compared to what we have been having here. Like the framing here and the lines that draw the eye to that beautiful blue sky. They were teenagers, and kids today don't seem to have respect like in the old days.

Gorgeous capture Ann. I think you used the effects well, because this image really pops. I think the dead tree makes the picture.

Hi Ron, Thanks for the nice comments as always ... too bad about the pesky teens. I do remember (haunted by actually) trying to jump into the shot of a photographer at Delicate Arch when I was an unruly teenager. Maybe they'll grow out of it (ahem) like me! Hi John, I thought that white, dead tree made the shot too. Thanks for the comments about filter use too. I always use them with extreme caution, because I think filters can distract from the original image to the point where the image is no longer a photograph, but a graphic design. Sometimes a really tough call. Thanks again guys,

Good day to you Ann. This is my first time to your gallery and you sure did make it an enjoyable venture as I went though it, saw the beauty of your work. Its always a special blessing to live where you can drive a short distance to different settings and looks. I also read read your story and your dad's camera and found the story fasinating and so interesting. From the beauty of your gallery, I would say you have mastered how to use a camera. In this one, I agree, the dead tree does stand out and give a beauty to the picture. I personally find that dead trees have a beauty all their own. Gorgeous colors, love the composiion, lighting is superb. Ture works of beauty fill your gallery and it was a treat to see it. Have a wonderful day my friend.

Hi Frank, Thanks so much for visiting my gallery and for your flattering comments! I am lucky to live where the scenery suits my lens and there's always a ready source to recharge the camera battery. Your own work however, is so unique ... it takes more than just raw talent to create the images you've done. You must have the ability to think in more dimensions than most. Such great stuff. Glad to meet you!

Ann this is really lovely. I like the contrast in colours from the forest to the sky. The snow draws the eye right through the frame. Well done!
