Bye Bye Miss American Pie...


	Bye Bye Miss American Pie... --- At a Gala fund raiser that I shot for a cultural group last April. While the guests enjoyed their dinner, the brilliant Courtney Colletti Band took requests at each table. Someone asked for "American Pie" and the entire room was on their feet, dancing and singing. --- Here coloratura soprano, Marcy Richardson, who had been seated beside me, was just letting the spirit move her. This is entirely candid (though performers are always subliminally aware of any cameras pointed at them). ---- Reworked, using Nik Viveza to add some structure to the blond hair, and resubmitted for the last day of the MT. ----------------- Raw, Aperture Priority: F4, ISO:1600, 1/60s 32mm (breaking the rule of never shooting a portrait at less than 50mm). Canon 24-105mm f4L IS lens. ----- - Michelle Alton
