Mirror Lakes, Mildford Sound: NZ


	Mirror Lake, Mildford Sound: NZ 1/30s @ f/22, ISO 800, Nikkor 24-70mm f/2.8 @ 24mm. (N&L) En route to Milford Sound, we stopped at Mirror Lake. It was formed around 14,000 years ago by glaciation and, blocked by any wind, it reflects Mount Cook and Mount Tasman. Unfortunately, the day we were there, it was raining slightly and so the mirror effect was not as pronounced as it usually is. Rona L. Schwarz

This is just beautiful Rona. I love the reflection off of this and the scene is gorgeous. I bet it was hard to keep your mouth shut when shooting this because it is such a jaw dropping beautiful place.

The not so perfect weather allowed for just the right dynamic range in lighting for a really impressive image that delights and wows! Love the colors and dramatic clouds that get reflected on the water. Excellence here Rona!
