Casey: Thanks for your kind comment. Valley of Fire is only 70 miles from Las Vegas but few tourists visit. It's incredibly beautiful and the reds are great in early morning and in late afternoon.

Cheers!

  Hi Peter....
I've only ever been to Vegas once (but it won't be my last)but my trip included a drive out in to the desert and Valley of Fire was included in the trip. All I can say is that I've been hooked. I can't get the idea of the S.W. desert out of my thoughts and will be going back to explore more. Your picture reminds me again of all the beauty that is there just waiting to be captpured. I saw the Valley On Fire in the evening light... moves you, as your picture shows, to walk in to it with abandon. Great Memory... Thanks. ~Darlene~ Matheson, Nova Scotia, Canada

Darlene: Hopefully, I'll make some equally evocative images in Nova Scotia and PEI when my wife and I are touring in late July.

Cheers! Peter Burian

Very pretty landscape.

Excellent in lighting, colors are wonderful and looks like one long walk to me.

Very nice. Kerby

Kerby: Thanks for your kind comment.

It's not that far. The wide angle lens makes the distances seem more expansive. Their car is at the bottom of the hill.

I removed the car in Photoshop because it was so distracting.
