Not Quite Seahorse, Not Quite Fish...
Not Quite Seahorse, Not Quite Fish...
Animals - June 2011

Weird and mystical these magical creatures are from Southern Australian waters. Known as Seadragons, these little guys are related to Seahorses. The Seadragon camouflage is quite good~ they resemble seaweed floating on the bottom of the sea- hence, the name given- Weedy Seadragons.

member since: 10/9/2004 You know I've been thinking of getting a couple of these for pets & I'd be able to sneak them in to all the "no pets" places, they don't make much noise. Aren't the wonderful, you certainly have taken a great picture of this little bloke. Very well taken=^..^=

I wish I could buy some~ apparently, they cost 5,000 dollars for one!
Well, that was what my 'tourguide' said-while on the 'Behind the Scenes' tour of the Aquarium...
