It was very foggy and chilly (and rainy) during most of our week's visit, so lobster traps were about our only color!

OK - I need lessons from you. All my misty or dawn hazy pix are driving me crazy. I either am not getting the exposure right to start with, or am not editing them properly.

In this wonderful image, you've got the brights, bright - and the fog clean, while maintaining details in items in the background as well. You inspire me with pictures like this (proving it can be done! lolll)

You need to write a tutorial on this. I live in the Great Lakes region, love shooting at dawn- and have 1000's of useless images!

Well, I'm learning alot about fog shots as 6 of our 7 days in Maine were fog! This one was a 3-image HDR, which I then applied Nik's tonal contrast to, but I was light on the adjustments. I'm using a lot of textures for backgrounds in many just so I don't have all white skies!!!
