	Pawn Shop The ruins of an old municipal pawn shop built in 1929 and destroyed during the Battle of Okinawa in 1945. This site sits at the foot of Mount Gusuku on Ie Island, Okinawa. It is said to be the only remaining building on the island untouched from the war. Karen Walzer
