Garden Gangsters

 Garden Gangsters Every day these grackles raid my finch feeders and empty them quickly. Some people think grackles are big ugly birds but I think the irridescent colors are pretty.Combined two seperate bird photos and placed them onto the reed photo. Used several blend layers and Lucis, Topaz filers.

WOW! I never would have guessed this wasn't the only photo & that you only added some filters for the effects! Wonderful job of blending them together...another lesson I need to work on! Their colors really are pretty.

This is very neat Irene ~ Your choice of post processing works very well and accents the birds nicely. =}

Hi Irene:What a wonderful name for these birds, although they look very handsome after you finished with them. The image is creative and well presented. Merna

Great work on this one. We have Satin Bowerbirds living in our yard, the male one looks just like this, the female is green. (I have her picture in my gallery, Satin Bowerbird on about page 9)he never keeps still long enough for me to get a picture. Wonderful use of effects=^..^=

Hi Irene; Without reading your photo description, I would never have know this fine image was actually combined images. The brilliant blue sky/bg sets off the other elements in this photo, including the blue shades in the birds feathers. The reeds add a intriguing geometric feel. Beautiful image. ;) CC

These birds look like the ones in my yard, as soon as I fill the feeder up they come and steel food. My other birds don't have a chance. But it is a part of nature.
