Tide Pools in the Sand
Tide Pools in the Sand
The reflective tide pools and intricately sculptured sand in this photo were left by a rapidly retreating tide. Beyond the tide pools and across the wide expanse of beach, the cliffs of Cape Blanco rise up, with the lighthouse barely visible on the distant bluff. Certainly a panorama worthy of pause. But it was the light-play in the sand at the bottom of the nearest tide pools, from the light passing through the ripples on the surface of the water, that that I found most captivating. It looked like there was gold in that sand and water… and maybe there was. Southern Oregon Coast (USA)

Spectacular image and description, Randall. Makes me think I'm feeling almost what you felt as you made this photograph.
