Established in 1903, and still in operation today, is the Norah Head Lighthouse on the Central Coast of NSW, Australia...

"...It was the last of the lighthouses built in the style of James Barnet... It is not known whether Barnet or his successor C W Darley who built the tower designed it. Captured at dusk, in late winter, on the 11th of August 2007...

How very pretty this is against the soft dusk sky, Carolyn. Lovely capture and the vertical composition suits it well.

This is so extremely beautifull. The pastel softness against the strong lighthouse, and then again that soft warm beacon to take you throught the night. I love this.

What a beauty. Wouldn't this have been the life!! We recently visited Nobbys Lighthouse but were ony able to look through one building, it was a great view of Newcastle from up there. Well taken, I like the subtle background.

An excellent capture of this old lighthouse Carolyn! Just as well you got this image a few years ago, I believe the road in, is locked between sunset and sunrise these days!
