I've read descriptions of hutongs but don't think I've ever seen a photo of one before...Altho, certainly not the same - it reminds me of some of the rustic alleyways in (of all places) New Orleans! Super information and a great shot, Ann - I just went from Jamaica to China in one jump thru your gallery! :)

Always enjoy the story behind the picture, finding it a fasinating read. With all the greenery, this looks quite charming and beautiful. Love the composition and the colors, perhaps it was more cramped then what we are used to, but its beauty stands out my friend.
