May all your dreams come true (but be careful what you wish for). This is a real structure between Versailles and Lexington, KY, and very unexpected to the unsuspecting traveller on Hwy 60. The story is that this couple went to Europe, and she fell in love with castles. So he, having plenty of money, and wanting to please, built one for her. Unfortunately the story does not end there. Shortly after it was built, marital problems ensued and they divorced. It sat abandoned for many years until recently, when it was sold and now plays host to a bed&breakfast. Wide angle HDR.

That's an amazing story and even more amazing to see this in Kentucky, Randy! Terrific wide angle capture, I love the tones during winter. Great HDR work.

I would certainly be startled, Randy. It's striking. This is an unusual type of composition, but works perfectly in the snow!

What a sad story. It's so beautiful there, too! Maybe they should have planted some pretty flowers and trees out front together?

Money definitely doesn't buy happiness.
I bought my husband a bookmark once that became his favorite one!

It reads: "A successful Marriage Is Made Up Of Two Great Forgivers".

HAPPY HOLIDAYS TO YOU AND YOURS, Randy AND FORGIVE WHERE NECESSARY! :)))
