Oh Dennis, I don't know! This lovely bird was perched in a rain forest exhibit at our nearby zoo. I did not see any signage or a zoo keeper who could provide that info for me. I did a brief lookie lou on the internet (real quick, mind you) and didn't find the species. I have that on my weekend, To Do list. I'll let you know. Hi Michelle; I agree he is a beauty. Thank you. Hi Carol; Thank you! This fellow was perched on one of the posts of a wooden bridge. Behind him was rock formations that were being covered by foliage. I set the camera hopping for this DOF. Thanks again.
